Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 October 2026
The short version.
- DoMaps is for business and professional use.
- Your maps are yours. You're responsible for what's in them, including the names, colors and addresses you use.
- Every plan has a hard monthly limit. At the limit the map is replaced, not billed for.
- DoMaps is run by one person and relies on free map services. It comes without uptime guarantees, and our liability is limited as set out below.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Kirill Grabar, a sole trader (autónomo) established in Spain ("DoMaps", "we", "us"); the full details are in the legal notice. They cover domaps.app, the editor and maps at map.domaps.app, and the API at api.domaps.app (together, the "Service").
You accept them when you make a map, save one, log in, or use the API, including through an AI agent or another program acting for you. If you accept them for a company or a client, you confirm you're allowed to bind them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. Business use only
The Service is offered only to businesses and professionals (empresarios y profesionales), for their trade, business, craft or profession. By using it you confirm you are acting for those purposes and not as a consumer. Consumer protection law, including the right of withdrawal, therefore doesn't apply to these terms. You must be at least 18.
3. What DoMaps does
DoMaps makes maps that match a website's look and lets you put them on websites with a short piece of code. Maps can be made with the editor, with a map link, or through the API without an account. You can save a map to an account to edit it later. The features, plans and limits on our website at the time you use the Service describe it in more detail.
4. Accounts, save links and the API
- You log in with a link sent to your email. Keep your email account secure; anyone with access to it can log in to DoMaps as you.
- A map made without an account has a private save link. Anyone who has it can save the map to their account and control it. Keep it private; we can't recover a map whose link was shared or lost.
- You can make maps through the API, also with an AI agent. Whoever runs or instructs the agent is responsible for what it does, as if they did it themselves.
- Use the API only as described in our documentation and within its limits. Don't make many maps, accounts or requests to get around a limit.
5. Plans, limits and payment
- Limits. Each plan has a monthly number of map views and limits on maps and places, shown on the pricing page. Maps also have a daily ceiling. When a limit is reached, the map shows its places as a list with directions instead of the map, or pauses, until the limit resets or you change plan. We never charge for going over.
- Unsaved maps have their own monthly limit. We delete unsaved maps that were never shown on a website after 30 days.
- Free plan. The free plan and its limits may change or end. We'll tell account holders by email at least 30 days before a change that reduces them.
- Paid plans are set up by email for now. We confirm the plan, price and billing details to you in writing before it starts. Prices are in euros per month and don't include VAT, which is added where it applies. Plans are paid monthly in advance and renew each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by email; the plan then runs to the end of the month you paid for. We don't refund partial months, except where these terms or the law say otherwise.
- Price changes apply from your next month after at least 30 days' notice by email. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they apply.
- Late payment. If a payment is late, we may move your account back to the free plan after telling you by email.
6. Reading a website
When you ask DoMaps to read a website, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use its name, colors, logo and addresses for your map. We don't check this. You're responsible for how you use what we read, including any trademark or brand. Don't use DoMaps to make a map that looks like it comes from another business without its permission.
7. Your content
You keep all rights in what you put into DoMaps: map names, places, addresses, colors and settings ("Your Content"). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, adapt and display Your Content as needed to run the Service, for as long as your maps exist. You confirm you have the rights to Your Content and that publishing it is lawful. Check every map before you publish it: pins, names and addresses are your responsibility.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- publish anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights, including trademarks and privacy;
- pretend to be another business or person, or suggest a connection that doesn't exist;
- publish a private person's home address or location without their permission, or harass anyone;
- mislead people about where a place is, or send them somewhere unsafe;
- get around the plans' limits, for example with many accounts or many unsaved copies of a map;
- resell, rebrand or offer the Service, or its free plan, as part of your own service without our written agreement;
- make maps for your clients' sites on the Free or Starter plan (client work needs the Pro or Agency plan);
- copy, scrape or overload the Service, the API or our map providers, or try to get in where you aren't allowed;
- hide or remove the map credits (attribution), or the DoMaps mark where your plan shows it.
9. Reporting content, and how we moderate
Our contact point for users and for authorities (Digital Services Act, arts. 11 and 12) is hello@domaps.app, in English or Spanish.
To report a map you believe is illegal (art. 16), email us with: the link to the map or the page showing it, why you believe it is illegal, your name and email address, and a statement that you believe the report is accurate and complete. We confirm we received it and tell you what we decided.
Reports are reviewed by a person, not by an automated system. If a map breaks the law or these terms, we may hide it, stop it from showing on websites, delete it, or suspend or close the account. We tell the affected account holder what we did and why (art. 17), unless the law prevents it. You can reply to that email to contest the decision; a person will review it again. You can also go to court. We report information about threats to someone's life or safety to the authorities (art. 18).
10. Map data and other providers
Maps use data from OpenStreetMap contributors (Open Database License), tiles from OpenFreeMap, terrain from Mapterhorn, address lookups from Geoapify. These are independent services. They can change, limit or stop what they provide, which can affect your maps, and we're not responsible for them. Keep the credits shown on the map.
11. Accuracy
Addresses can be found in the wrong place, and map data can be out of date or wrong. Check your pins. DoMaps maps are for showing where a business is; they're not for navigation, emergencies or anything where a wrong location could cause harm. "Get directions" opens Google Maps or Apple Maps, which have their own terms.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep DoMaps running, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always reachable, and without any service level. We may change, add or remove features. If we end the Service or a paid feature, we tell paying customers at least 30 days before and refund any amount paid for the time after it ends.
Keep your own copy of anything important. We don't promise to keep backups of your maps.
13. Maps on your website and visitors' data
When you embed a DoMaps map, the visitors' browsers connect to DoMaps and its map providers (see section 4 of the Privacy Policy). For that connection, you and we may be joint controllers under art. 26 GDPR. We agree that: you tell your visitors about the map in your privacy policy and link to ours; we handle everything that happens to the data once it reaches us, keep the protections described in our Privacy Policy, and answer visitors' requests about it. Either of us passes on such requests that reach the wrong one.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for intent (dolo) or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
Apart from that:
- we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, revenue or business, lost data, or harm to reputation;
- we're not liable for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, including the map providers in section 10, internet and hosting outages, or attacks;
- our total liability for all claims connected with the Service in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in those 12 months or €100.
15. Your responsibility to us
You will compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that arise from Your Content, from a website you had us read, or from your breach of these terms or the law, except to the extent we caused them.
16. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using DoMaps at any time, and ask us by email to close your account.
- We may suspend or close an account, or disable maps, if you break these terms or the law, if it's needed to protect the Service or others, or if an authority requires it. Where we can, we warn you first and give you time to fix it.
- We may also end your account for any other reason with 30 days' notice, refunding any amount paid for the time after it ends.
- When an account is closed, its maps stop showing and are deleted. Ask us within that 30-day notice if you want a copy of your maps' settings.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and for significant changes we email account holders at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using it and ask us to close your account.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes go to the courts that have jurisdiction under the law. If you are established outside Spain, you agree that the courts of Spain have jurisdiction.
19. Other terms
- These terms, the pricing page and any written plan confirmation are the whole agreement between us.
- If a part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right at once, we haven't given it up.
- You can't transfer this agreement without our agreement. We may transfer it to whoever takes over the Service, and we'll tell you.
- The agreement is concluded in English. We don't file a copy for each user; this page and its date are the record. Save or print it if you want your own copy.
