How to add a map to your website
Copy a map’s embed code and paste it into your page, or into your site builder’s embed block. Most map embeds are a single iframe. With DoMaps that takes under 3 minutes, needs no account or API key, and the map takes your site’s colors.
Your options
Google Maps share embed
- In Google Maps, click Share, then Embed a map, and copy the HTML.1
Google Maps Embed API or JavaScript API
- The Maps Embed API needs an API key for every request.2
- The Maps JavaScript API needs an API key and billing for production use.3
OpenStreetMap
- The Share panel on openstreetmap.org gives you an HTML snippet to paste into any web page.4
- Its tiles come with a usage policy: capacity is limited and access can be blocked without notice.5
Leaflet with a tile provider
- Leaflet is an open-source JavaScript library for interactive maps. You pick the tile provider and write the code.6
Mapbox or MapTiler
DoMaps
- Paste one iframe. Setup takes under 3 minutes, with no account and no API key.
- The map takes your site’s colors, with your own pin icon, several places and the starting view you choose.
- It sets no cookies. A saved map gets 10,000 views a month on the Free plan and pauses at the limit, with no bill.
The DoMaps way
Setup is the same as a Google Maps embed: one iframe, no account, no API key. You also choose the colors, the pins and the starting view. Make the map in the editor and paste the code where the map should go, for example in a “Find us” section.
Setup in under 3 minutes
- Paste your website’s address. DoMaps reads your colors.
- Add your address, pick a pin icon and copy the code.
- Paste the code into your site, or ask your AI agent to do it.
No account or API key needed. Open the editor

Questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You copy the code and paste it. Site builders such as Wix, Squarespace and WordPress have a block for it.
Where should the map go?
Most sites put it in a contact or “Find us” section. Full width and 360 to 480px tall works well.
Do I need an API key?
It depends on the service. DoMaps needs none. The Google Maps Embed API, Mapbox and MapTiler each need a key or token.
