Add a map to your Lovable site with one prompt
Paste one prompt into the Lovable chat. Lovable reads your colors and address, creates the map and puts it on the page. No account or API key needed.
The prompt
Paste this into the Lovable chat. It points Lovable to the DoMaps instructions at /llms.txt.
Add a DoMaps map to the contact section of my website.
Use our address and our brand colors. Instructions: https://domaps.app/llms.txt Steps
-
Open your project in Lovable.
-
Paste the prompt above into the chat and send it. Add your address if your site doesn’t show it yet.
-
Check the map in the preview. Previews show the map and never count as views.
-
When Lovable is done, it gives you a save link or an editor link for the map. Open it and save the map with your email before you publish.
-
Publish your site.
Save the map before you publish
A new map works without an account for up to 1,000 views a month. An unsaved map can’t be edited later, so decide about saving before you publish. When Lovable is done, it gives you a private save link. Open it, enter your email, then open the login link from the email. A saved map gets 10,000 views a month on the Free plan. Keep the save link to yourself and never put it on your site.
Troubleshooting
- Lovable wrote its own map code
- Ask it to follow the instructions at /llms.txt and use the iframe exactly as DoMaps returns it.
- Lovable didn’t give you a save link
- Ask it for the map’s save link or the editor link. It should never put that link on the site.
- The map stays blank and the console mentions Content Security Policy
- Your site limits which pages it may frame. Add https://map.domaps.app to frame-src in its Content Security Policy.
- The map says it is paused
- It reached a view limit. The docs list each notice and what to do.
More fixes are in the docs. Lovable’s own help: Chat in Lovable.
